The Koti Den



The Crevice of Katmai is the pack's den, and the usual RolePlay area. It's a dip in the mountains, creating a gentle bowl that the pack dwells within. The den is home to all of the members here at The Katmai Natives Pack, and each member has thier own perspective over the common area. Although only the strong survive among the mountains, this is the most adundant place on the peak.

[Luna]

before she could speak ken trotted off. she thought that he didn't have to leave but he left on his own choice. turning back to Mistainia she said "hello, its nice to meet you. My name is Luna." she smiled a kind smile and nodded.

[Mistainia]

"And you too" Misty smiled to this female, "I'm Misty." She looked into the sky's and thought about how new this wolf could be to the pack. Then she turned her eyes back toward her.

[Aero]

His white figure twitched as the stocky male approached him, he narrowed his eyes sharply staring at the snow underneath his black paws, still refusing to look up at the male as he stood in front of him, his ears listened closely to his words confirming his thoughts about confronting the members of the pack, not that he was going to greet them right away, he’d have to see their personalities first hand before actually gathering up the courage to speak them. He’s always been this way, it was a much more easier approach than walking up to them so freely, some wolves didn’t welcome newcomers so willingly, that he knew well and the brute here was evidence of that. Aero couldn’t shake the uncomfortable feeling of the brute being so close to him, his fur prickling even more in response not to mention the feeling of breath against his skull, inching a little more backwards to relieve himself of the odd position, and he shifted in the snow, still feeling the awkwardness. Although, he gave his head a small nod as the leader wondered off, he glanced up at him and was surprised to see the shading of his eyes, a strange green color, his ears gave a small twitch before his eyes focused back down onto the ground, blinking as he tried to calculate what had just happened, unsure if he’d been accepted into the pack or not, his train of thought was interrupted by his sharp ears picking up on the cracking of the ice, followed by a small splash. Lifting his head he his teal eyes moved curiously towards the area, investigating the area for himself, seeing a white pelted female escape form the freezing water shaking her pelt of the water before glaring at the darker furred female that seemed to be the cause of the accident, Aero could easily feel the air begin to grow tense, as the alpha male intervened, growling at the snowy female. The next the he knew the two where snapping at each other, pressing their fangs tightly against another’s skin, he stiffened visibly at the scent of another wolves blood, he could feel his own beginning to grow cold, ever since that night he couldn’t could no longer stand the scent of blood, of course, he could stomach the smell of a meal he managed to catch in all this snow, but, when it came down to other canine’s bloodshed he just couldn’t be found in the same area. Aero felt his stomach tighten,suddenly, not feeling so well, he had to get away form this scent, even if it was just a small drop,

“If you’ll excuse me...for just a moment.” He says to no one in particular, turning his body towards a pile of snow that happened to be near, he moved swiftly towards it, breathing again when the smell had decreased to it’s lowest, he lowered himself behind the snow barrier, noticing that his body had a slight tremble, it may have looked strange to some, but, because, of his past, he would never get used to that aroma. It always caused a slight chill up his spine, and his mind would grow blurry, he could never forget that day not matter how hard he tired, it was so much weight to bare on his shoulders, Aero continued to shiver as he buried his figure more into the snow, ignoring the numbing feeling, while awaiting his body’s movements to be suppressed.

[Luna]

after a brief conversation with misty, Luna bows her head kindly and heads off towards the river. Luna then spots Ken and sees that he is down. she decides that the would try to cheer him up. she approaches him with a bounce in her step. once she got close to him she lowers into a playful bow and tilts her head playfully and sees if he wants to race or chase each other around. Luna asks "you wanna play."

[Kendrick]

Sighing softly Ken glanced away from Sharon and back to the two she wolves he just met. They looked like they were getting along well for a brief second, his nose suddenly twitched to a faint scent of another nearby animal. Could there be another lone wolf nearby the territory? Ken emerald pools glanced over to the trees, his eyes darting from area to area. "Maybe I'm just acting paranoid" muttered Ken, his fur slightly ruffled up. His distraction was suddenly interrupted by a silver coated she wolf. Turning his attention away from the woods he saw Luna in front of him in a playful bowing position. "you wanna play." Ken eyes widen in surprise and he slightly tilted his cranium in confusion, "Play? Could you define that for me?" he questioned. Ken had no idea what that word meant, he had never "played" before, even as a young pup he was never allowed to fool around.

[Luna]

Luna sat back on her hind legs and simply says "well, he could race or chase each other for a bit." Luna tilts her head, then sniffs the air. "or we can go and see what that strange sent is. it is bugging me."

[Kendrick]

Ken lobes flicked to Luna, giving her his fullest attention. He was curious about what the word play meant and when she explained to him in a simple sentence he nodded. He saw that she was sniffing the air and Ken realized she must have also sensed the same animal he was sensing. The air had many different smells to it, the scent of the pack, the wild life creatures, and many others that were mixed. Seeing that Luna had given him to options to pick, he didn't know which to choose from so he unclasped his maw and said, "Um.. Well which one would you like to do? If we search for that scent it might be something dangerous."

[Luna]

Luna thinks it over and realizes that if the race or chase each other they may still run across what they smelt. Luna says to Ken"since there is a chance we might run across whatever we are smelling we might as well investigation. if it is dangerous we will try to get the others help." Luna once again sniffs the air but this time to try and figure out where it is coming from.

[Kendrick]

Ken closed his eyes, his ears twitched to the voice of the silver she wolf that was in front of him. The male was thinking hard on what to do, it seemed to him Luna wanted to go search around for the scent. Was she getting bored already or did she simply wanted to explore more? Ken also wanted to do the same, he wanted to search for the unknown smell but was it safe for them to go? After the whole event with Aaka he feared to go anywhere, thinking about the ground falling below him was frightening. Opening his eye lids back up he did a quick scan around the terra, all the members seemed to be either sleeping or just sitting around. If Luna and Ken were in danger would their fellow pack members come to their aid in time? Ken softly shrugged and stared into Luna's icy eyes, they seemed to blaze with youth. "Okay Luna, let's go investigate this smell" Ken raised his hind limbs, his nose inhaled the air trying to locate where ever the scent was coming from.

[Luna]

luna could tell that ken was uncertain but was glad that he agreed to go. she knew that they should be cautious considering. luna rises to her feet and slowly and sniffs the air. she figured that the scent went to the woods, thankfullu away from the cliffs. she looks at ken the too the woods to let him know where the scent is heading.

[Sharon]

Sharon smiled at Misty, then breathed in. 'Thanks!' She thought, but then stood up, and sat down. She saw Ken and another wolf doing something, but smiled only. She looked at Siren and Misty talking and waited.

[Kendrick]

Ken took a deep breath he was feeling quite uneasy but decided to shake if off. He saw Luna looking towards the woods then back at him, he kindly grinned to her, impressed with her keen sense of smell. "Okay Luna, let's do this.." he looked ahead of him, a determined but serious facial expression showed on his face. He then cautiously padded towards the woods, where lied a lone creature that was near the pack den. When he was at the edge of the trees he looked behind him seeing if Luna was following, then back to the woods again. A sudden picture of a familiar wolf popped into Kendrick's head, North. He remembered his brother walking around in the territory, alone. "Oh No" thought Kendrick, his legs were beginning to tremble, his step brother was out here, What if his brother met the dangerous animal? How would Ken know if this animal was dangerous, it had a similar scent of a wolf but was he sure of that? Shaking his head he looked behind him again and saw Sharon smiling, Ken hard expression soften when he saw his mate. The thought of Sharon was somehow able to calm him down.

[Mistainia]

Misty yawned and stretched, her joints were for some reason very sore. Disguarding that, Misty padded along then sat on a bolder. She looked across the beautiful Alaskan lands in awe. How had she made it from North Dakota to its fellow U.S state, Alaska? Misty shook it off to drown more in the beauty of the mountainous lands.

[Luna]

Luna follows carefully behind ken. she could tell he was bothered by this but determined. they wonder through the woods and after some time come to a clear pond. luna takes and sip and waits for ken to join her. she then sits up and stares at the bright moon.

[Kendrick]

Ken entered the area where lied a lucid pond. Ken blinked his eyes in surprise, he had never seen this place before. He saw Luna already drinking from the water, Was the water safe? Ken stepped closer towards the pure water and stared into the pond. He saw his own reflection looking back, his emerald orbs staring straight at him. A small grin curled up his lips, his eyes were the only thing he liked most about himself, he had his mothers eyes. Shaking the thought of his family away, he lowered his maw towards the water and unclasped his mouth his tongue lolled out lapping up the cool water. It was so fresh, and pure, cooling the inside of Kendrick's tummy.

[Luna]

Luna lost in thought continues to look at the moon. suddenly she realizes that the sent is near and looks around. there in the shadows is the unknown aniamal. she rises oto her feet and stares at the shape still uncertain of what it is. she lowers to the ground and bares her fangs to alert ken.

[Kendrick]

When Ken was finished refreshing himself, he slowly raised his head from the water, licking his cheeks that was covered with small amounts of water. He looked towards Luna who was admiring the moon. The taupe colored male did the same and stared into the bright circle that was in the sky. "What a beautiful moon" mumbled Ken. His lobes flicked to a growling wolf, looking to at the direction this growl was coming from he saw Luna. Ken hackles raised and he glanced to where ever Luna was looking at and saw a shadowed figure. While growling he stepped forward to the unknown animal and barked, he was near enough to see what the figure looked like and all he saw was a jackalope , a rabbit with antler horns. Ken softly chuckled and twirled his attention back to young Luna, opening his mouth he spoke, "Luna it was only a rabbit with horns, don't worry." Kendrick was in a bright mood again, and added to his last sentence, "Luna would you like to come with me and explore around the territory?"

[Luna]

Luna raised a bit embarrassed but once she collected herself she responded,"oh, my bad." she then grinned. then said"sure, I would like to explore the territory, since we found the mystery smell." Luna then laughs to herself at what had occurred.

[Kendrick]

Ken glanced back to where the mystery animal was. The jackalope was still there both its bunny ears were raised up. The jackalope was looking at where the two wolves were at, its big black bunny eyes were wide and alert, as to say to the wolves I'm watching you two. Ken snickered at the jackalope, he was losing a bit of interest in the small animal, so he looked back to Luna. Sensing a small amount of embarassment in Luna but that scent had vanished quickly when she was able to regain her composure again. "sure, I would like to explore the territory, since we found the mystery smell." Ken eyes lit up and he nodded to Luna, "Okay Lu I'm going to take you to Snowberry Garden, you'll love it there. The garden is a really breathtaking scenery, but its mostly for Celestes ranking wolves. But it's okay for us to go since were only looking around." Turning his body to the direction of a path that led to the Snowberry Garden, his tail flicked notifying Lu to come along. Ken then trotted off to the path and went straight to the Snowberry Garden, hoping Lu could catch up with him. But he wasn't too worried about Luna, Ken knew she had keen sense of smell and if she ever got lost, she could follow his pawprint's or howl for help.

[Luna]

Luna grinned in excitement and quickly followed Kenny(a new nickname she decided to give ken). Luna decided to play a joke on Kenny and ran up to him but silently and tackled him. she let out a quick laugh and said:"gottcha" in a playful voice. she didn't know how he would respond but thought if he didn't like it she wouldn't play anymore jokes on him.

[Sharon]

Sharon smiled, and stretched, tired from sitting down for so long. She heard Kenny and another pup(Luna) and smiles a little. She sighed, looking at Aaka, but then smiles and sees Kenny walk somewhere else. She shrugs and looks back, wondering if she should introduce herself to what seemed like a playful wolf. She smiles, but then decided to rest a little, and walked into the den. She yawned, then rested her head on her paws, and closed her eyes.

Sharon growled, and jumped, not even knowing it. She was a little startled, but then soon lied down, and closed shut her eyes. She hadn't expected all these to happen so soon, but she sighed. She thought back, from the beginning of her joining the pack, all the things, and the edge of her mouth smiled. She had never thought about becoming a mother before now. She wondered what the others, including Kenny were doing...
Sharon sighed, and looked up. Everything was blurry, but she smiled. She could see the little life that entered the world now. She was panting, but she curled up, and licked the baby pup.

~*IHANA*~

The newborn pup was warm and cozy, but all of that changed in a minute. Suddenly, everything was cold. It took the pup by surprise and she tried gasping for breath.
It was fresh and crisp, a new sensation filled her and her nose tickled as she breathed in. The cold wind rustled through her fur and she shivered, and sniffed again, catching
a whiff of something that made her instincts want to go towards. She shuffled towards the smell, and found fur. It was breathing fur. She knew that it was something warm,
and she snuggled close in the fur, hiding from the wind she thought was so strong,
but was only a breeze. She felt a tongue licking her fur and she snuggled closer,
very warm from where she lay, right by her mother.

[Kendrick]

Kendrick came rushing into the den, he was breathing hard from his run. "Sharon!" he barked, fear was flowing out from him. He scanned around the den and saw his mate curled up. His eyes widen in fear, so he rushed forward to his love and saw a fluffy white ball beside Sharon, "What's that?" he thought. Getting closer he saw it was moving and had a small star on its forehead, he gasped, "S-Sharon?" whispered Ken. His eyes lit up with youth, his heart was beating fast at what he saw, "Sharon is t-that my b-baby giirl?"

[Sharon]

Sharon smiled and cuddled around the little creature. She heard her mate rush inside, and smiled and looked up. She quietly nodded at him, then showed him their baby pup. She smiled, and said "Yeah...yeah,..she is." She saw him, and smiled, letting him know she was fine. She licked and cuddled the baby as she looked up at him, waiting for his response.

[Kendrick]

When the pup was clear enough to see, a huge grin formed on his lips. "I have... a family" thought the happy male, he felt like tearing up but instead he cleared his throat and looked outside of the den. Now he was wondering where his brother North was, the brute was missing this happy moment. Ken shrugged and return his attention back to his new family, he licked Sharon's cheeks and softly nuzzled her. Then he looked at his newborn pup, he lowered his nose to the pup and gently sniffed the small white ball. "She's going to be handful" murmured the taupe colored male. When he was done recognizing his little pups scent, he gently licked his daugther's head and raised his head up.
