The Koti Den



The Crevice of Katmai is the pack's den, and the usual RolePlay area. It's a dip in the mountains, creating a gentle bowl that the pack dwells within. The den is home to all of the members here at The Katmai Natives Pack, and each member has thier own perspective over the common area. Although only the strong survive among the mountains, this is the most adundant place on the peak.

[Chelsea]

Chelsea jumped back, never seeing Jen like this it even frightened her. Lowering her head she felt the guilt flood through her. How could she even befriend a killer in the first place? What was going through her head? Maybe your better off alone, you can't make any wrong choices then.. but the feeling of emptiness would return like before.. she shook her head, her pale blue eyes full of sorrow as she watched the raging father lash out at Chemical. "Ken it wasn't anyone's fault, anger and violence won't solve anything!" the small female called out trying to calm him. She suddenly wished Sharon was here, to calm him, but then It'd be worse,  because shed be angered as well. Chelsea jumped and stood tense, preparing herself to jump in if she needed to.

[Kendrick]

Kendrick kept his eyes locked onto the male who has yet answered his question. The silence of the male has angered him even more, but the voices of two females were audible. There was Lulu who was now between both Ken and the friend of Chelsea, and Chelsea who had said something about anger and violence. Ken turned his angered gaze to Luna and replied in a unpleasant tone, "Luna, how can I the father of a dead daughter, be calm while standing in front of a wolf that had confess to killing my one and only blood." Taking his gaze away from Lu, he turned to Chelsea, giving her a cold look.

[Luna]

Luna lowered her eyes knowing he had a point. not saying another word she backed off but still watched kenny and then looked to the other wolf she had not met. she thought for a moment and new she had no reason to defend him, he had admited to killing ihana but she still wanted to here from both sides. looking back up she said to Kenny "at least let him tell what happened. cause it looks as if it is complicated and not like he killed her straight out" she hoped this would help but it could still go badly and she didnt have any authority.

[Kendrick]

Ken lobes flicked to Lu who was moving away from him. "Ken this is a horrible attitude you are showing, calm yourself..but....I can't calm myself right now" he thought to himself. "Why oh Why did Ihana have to be the one to have an early death?" Kendrick closed his eyes and lowered his head down to the ground, "It should have been me to die before you..Nana" whimpered Ken, a small tear emerging out from his eyes and streaming down his cheeks. "at least let him tell what happened. cause it looks as if it is complicated and not like he killed her straight out" Ken raised a bit of his head up to Lu, a depressed look now warped his face. "Y-Your r..right." Straightening his posture, Ken's now dead gaze stared into the eyes of the male, "Kill..no..Stranger, Introduce yourself and explain every single detail to me."

[Cinder Fire]

Next to the den, Cinder sees wolves from a distance. She tilts her head in confusion. She blinks every second still sleepy,while watching the wolves. To get out of trouble, Cinder quickly climbs the tree to the fifth highest branch. She quietly grooms herself while she watch the wolves.

[Chelsea]

Chelsea lowered her gaze as well as her head, perhaps she should be punished as well for befriending the killer. But she doubted it would make the guilt she felt subside. It was as if she killed the pup herself! Looking back up at Ken, the anger she noticed was replaced with sorrow. "I'm sorry." she said, it was all she could say as no other words came to mind. The female couldn't speak for Chemical, nor take his place.she shuddered at the thought of it. What happened to all of the hate she felt for this stranger? Why had it faded so fast? Being her old self was much too forgiving, Chelsea preferred the anger, it seemed like the right choice .. to be angry with the others. But she couldn't. Whining lightly she lowered her whole body until she felt the cool dirt rub against her belly. Keeping her pale gaze on The wolves, she sighed wishing for more words to say.

[Shadow]

Padding out of darkened abyss, the feeble light casting a glow upon her ivory fur. The fae's cranium tilted downward, her glacial pools locked upon the white canvas beneath her. Questions tore through her mind, constantly replacing the previous and leaving her without answers. Exhaling a sigh, the fae slowly shook her head knowing her attempts to clear her thoughts was worthless. Tearing away her ever falling gaze, Shadow eyed a small circle of wolves and without another thought the ivory tinted fae steered her paws toward them, carefully edging closer to hear their conversation without behind drawn in on a possible argument. Beginning to identify the pelt tones, the sharp green contrasted against a snow white pelt caught the fae's lingering gaze. Picking up her leisurely pace, Shadow's tempo quickened until she was by the flank of a stunning white fae (Chels). "What is going on?" Shadow asked the fae in a low tone. She picked up on the saddened and helpless mood clinging to the frigid air swiftly but not the details that lead to it.

[Chelsea]

Chelsea jumped being startled slightly at the sound of Shadow's voice. "Oh Shadow its horrible! I told Jenny Nana died and he is prepared or was prepared to take his anger out on Chem but now he's just depressed... I don't know whay to do or say to make this any better and now he wants to know how Nana died.. that's the worst part!" she replied to Shad with a muffled voice. She covered her face with her paws, wishing Chem had never gone up to Jenny. It would have been easier to explain what had happened.. but it would have been more difficult for Chem. If Jenny ever caught him alone it would have been bad, Chem wouldnt have anyone there for him. Maybe this is why Chelsea chose to befriend him, because everyone was so angry..

[Luna]

Luna stays standing wall, now glad that kenny decided ask the stranger. she looked to them and heard shadow before seeing her. she sighed but was still shaken by the news.

[Kendrick]

Ken legs were shaking, he wasn't prepared at all. Another canine had entered the grounds, it was one of his colleagues, her pelt was white like the pure snow and her eyes were bright blue like Lulu and Nana. Kendrick turn his gaze away from the eyes of the wolves, fatigue was slowly approaching him. Clearing his throat, he said, "Nevermind.. I don't think I want to know what happened right now.. I apologize for my rude behavior..please take care everyone." With that said, Kendrick sadly nodded to them and slowly padded off through the woods, his tassles lay lumped behind him. If Ken knew the details of Nana's death, he wasn't sure if he could take it...so he decided to wait.

[Shadow]

Swiveling her ears back into her skull, Shadow listened silently to Chels. Not a word muttered pleased the ivory fae nor did it provoke the burning ember of fire within her, instead it weighted to the side of sadness. Glancing toward the multi toned Lead Proti, a pang of sympathy arose for Ken, Shadow knew the sense of loss, the feeling of everyone being ripped away at once but not the pain of losing a progeny. As much as the ivory tinted fae wished to comfort Ken, she did not know of the true events that occurred. Before Shadow would speak she watched the male abruptly leave, his frame disappearing out of sight. "We should go after him," Shadow said to Chelsea in a low, hushed tone. She may not know her colleague well, but no one deserved to suffer alone.

[Chelsea]

Chelsea lifted a paw glancing at Shadow,  she nodded silently and stood up. Her ears flickered back as she avoided Chem's eyes. The female sighed as she stalked after Ken, trying not to make a sound.  She looked behind to see if Shad was following and lowered her head again. "Ken I really am sorry." she blurted out. What else could I say? she thought sitting down beside Shadow.

[Dark]

Dark yawned as he looked around again, he had been patrolling for ages. His red eyes scanned the place, before they came onto the most recent wolf (Chemical). Dark could feel his anger again, but it wasn't much now, having the long patrol allowed him to calm down and clear his head. "I wonder what a fight with him would be like..." Dark grinned as he could feel the craving for a fight again, but he shook it out and continued to patrol again.

[Amethyst]

Amethyst woke up from a deep sleep. Flicking her ears at a huge commotion outside of the den, she could hardly make out what it was about. She didn't want to get up either. Considering that her pup was still nursing. She long wished that her mate was with her. She hasn't seen him for quite a while. Hearing such commotion made her nervous. A growl escaped her muzzle. She became more and more worried. Her gold eyes sparkled from the sunlight that traveled into the den. Even though she was in the deepest part of the den, the voices of other wolves could be heard. They echoed and bounced off of the walls. This made it harder for Amethyst to relax. She then gave a loud whine. Her tail covered the helpless Boulder. Protecting him with everything she has, she continued to hear the commotion going on. She gave a sigh and looked at her pup. Boulder was still sleeping. Luckily his ears couldn't hear anything yet. She licked him a few times before continuing to focus on what was going on outside of the Koti den.

~~Boulder the Newborn~~

Boulder was sound asleep, still continuing to nurse off of his mother's stomach. His mother hadn't eaten anything in a while, but that was good enough for Boulder. He continued to sleep peacefully. Feeling the warmth from his mother's tail around him, protecting him from anything that was going to come his way.

[Brightbane]

the bear cub yawned and looked up at rad, which was resting in the other side of the cave. "what?" Rad snarls, grumpy from her lack of food. the bear cub stumbles over, its pelt still purplish from the berries. it looked up into rads eyes. she growled and stood up, sick of this pup. Rad froze, there was a smell in the air that was not good. the smell of a mother bear. Rad turned her neck and saw the bear getting on its hind legs and rawr. "uh no..." rad muttered, quickly grabbing the bear cub "here! its yours!" rad screams tossing the bear cub at the mother bear. the bear looks at it, confused looking. then it roars again, sending rad speeding out the cave. "help!" rad yells as the thundering paw steps of the bear follows her. will she get out of this?

[Cinder Fire]

Cinder yawned as she wakes up from her birth tree. She jumps down from the tree using her powerful legs. She peaked in the den to and saw Amethyst and a pup and smiled but she didn't go in. Cinder turned back walked over to the forest getting ready to hunt.

Hunting Session

Cinder walks as she sees a lonely bull elk. She stalked quietly moving her tail to keep balance. She waits for the wind to blow as she gets closer and she froze. The nice wind blew on Cinder's body and she took a run for it getting faster and faster as she gets closer to the bull. First she stabs him with her teeth in his leg. Not getting tired, she jumps on the bull's back and the claws his sides to get a hold while she bites hard on the bull's throat. She could tell that she was getting tired and angry as he tries to get him off her. He bumps his head a large tree knocking his antlers off. Cinder then bites his skull creating a large amount of damage. She did a risky move and she jumps again on his back to make him fall over, and he did. Not tired at all she pants in joy as the bull doesn't move. She prays a little for the food and she drags it towards her birth tree. Using her powerful legs she climbs the tree while the bull was in her mouth. She slips the elk in half with her claws and she takes the rest of the elk to Amethyst. Cinder pushes the elk inside the den putting her scent on it. She panted from this grueling hunt and she runs back to her birth tree to eat her prize before anyone does.

[Amethyst]

Amethyst continued to feel a little nervous about the commotion outside of the den. Her ears perk to a wolf outside of the den, running towards the hunting grounds. She stared into the distance for a bit, wondering who that might be. Noticing the scent from this wolf entering inside of the den, it seemed quite familiar to her, as if she had smelled it before. It was from the pitch black female known as: Cinder. She new her quite well. Well, she hasn't really talked to her since, but she knew the scent from top to bottom like memorizing a path to victory. She looked down at the sleeping Boulder, whom was still nursing. She licked him with great care. Moments later, that same scent came back. Looking about, she noticed a carcass that was brought to her by the black female wolf. She carefully got up and left the pup only for a moment to get some food in her stomach. After she had her fill of half a carcass, she returned to her pup and he began to nose his way back to the spot of where he was nursing on.

~~Boulder the Newborn~~

Boulder woke up a few moments later from a deep sleep. He squirmed around as he felt the warmth of his mother's tongue against his very short haired pelt. He then relaxed and had his feed. When his mother had to get up to get some food in her stomach, that made him cry. But luckily he was happy again when she returned from her meal. Nosing his way to the nipple he was just latched on to, he got his feed once again. For a pup like Boulder, he was going to have to eat a lot. That's probably why he was quite big for his size. Boulder soon fell back asleep when he felt the warmth of his mother reach his body.

[Cinder Fire]

Cinder fulls up her stomach and she hides the other part of the meal somewhere that anyone could reach. She jumps down the tree walking to the den guarding it like a female mommy bear. After a while she fell asleep tired from the grueling hunt. Her ears are still open.

[Guest]

walking back into the clearing as Arrow was not himself. forgetting about his mate and son as his tail and head hung low in shame. Arrow thought he heard the two howls of his sisters and chased after it went right out of the Territory. walking back to a freashly hunted carcass did Arrow grab a huge chunk of tender fleash. walking back to the den to see Cinder did he give a nod of thanks and a smile of welcome back and nice to see you again. going into the den to see young Boulder getting bigger every day made him feel a burst of pride in his chest. ripping the flesh in half so Amethyst can have some and he can have some. eating up his fill did Arrow sit up and watch in his spot Protectivly over Amethyst and Boulder. "sorry I was gone I heard something and..." he trailed off not finishinghis words "sorry I just thought I heard some family" he looked down sad waiting maybe for a reply half wanting to talk about it and half not wanting.

[Cinder Fire]

Cinder opens her eyes and lifted her head as she saw Arrow. What is up, she thought as she get up and stretch. She walks around the den patrolling it for hours. She turns and sees a female cougar and then den young that she saw earlier. Cinder bristles her fur and growled ferociously at the cougar getting ready to chase them. The mother cougar hissed and she runs calling her cubs to follow. They were old enough to run fast but Cinder is faster. She opens her jaws and she nips one of the young cougars as a warning before taking them out. The mother cougar stops from the tracks to come and confront Cinder. She growled loudly but Cinder didn't move one bit. The cougar charged at Cinder, but she missed. Cinder quickly bites the mother cougar's legs causing a lot of blood. The cougar tries to claw her but she missed again as Cinder bites her paw off leaving bones. Tired the mother cougar tries to flee but Cinder grabs her throat and shakes it ferociously, killing the mother. Cinder looks around for any signs of the kittens but they were gone. Sitting down next to the cougar she remembers when one of the cougars that once lived here killed her best friend, Atta. She quietly walks to the den with blood on her mouth. Cinder sits and grooms herself. As she grooms she starts to feel sorry that she killed the mother. She lowered the head with tears in her eyes.

[Amethyst]

Amethyst looks up to see her mate. She gives a warm smile but she then feels worried. "Are... Are you okay, my love? You don't look so good..." she said to him in her worried but tried to keep calm tone. She gave him a few licks on his cheek, saying that she was so glad to see him again. "What family? Yours? Tell me... What's bothering you?" Her voice was soothing and gentle now. Patting the ground for Arrow to join her, she looked at him deeply in the eyes. It was a soft look but soft enough for him to realize that she wanted him to speak about his problem. She snuggled with him while she waited for his reply.

~~Boulder the Newborn~~

Boulder was still fast asleep. He was indeed getting bigger everyday. He continued to nurse as his mother got the food that she so desired to eat every day. A large chuck of a juicy carcass.

[Guest]

Winstone walked out of his Den, in the golden forest and went to the plains, he came across something unusual.. But it seems to be a figure, on the hills. Winstone sat down and waited.. Then an unexpected being came..!

[Daniel]

Daniel narrowed her eyes as an unfamiliar figure popped out of the Koti Den. Had a stranger been sleeping in there since no one was around? Everyone seemed to be outside the den, but how could he have so easily slipped in without being noticed. Slipping quietly away from her spot, the golden female squared her shoulders. After creeping forward a few paces, she let out a snarl and tackled the male (Winstone). "Who are you and what are you doing here?" The usually calm and shy Daniel was no where to be seen.

[Amethyst]

Amethyst layed quietly inside of the den. Sleeping on a full stomach, her pup continued to nurse off of her. Moments later, her ears perked to some strange noises outside of the den. She awoke with a start and whined a little, wondering what was going on. The mother Proti felt worried. What was out there? She then recongnized a voice outside of the den. It sounded like a voice of one of her fellow friends. But... Suddenly, the voice sounded a little deeper. It didn't sound like her original friends voice. She kept her tail over the helpless pup who was still feeding.

~~Boulder the Newborn~~

Boulder nursed as he continued to sleep soundly. He was being protected by his mother. He felt safe but soon his mother had to find out what the commotion outside of the den was all about.

[Daniel]

Daniel's head snapped up as she heard a familiar whimper. She peered into the den, seeing Amethyst with her newborn. Abandoning the newcomer, Daniel's eyes softened at the sight of the pup. "This is your's Amethyst? He's beautiful." She murmured quietly. The Proti gave a nod to Arrow. "What is his name?" She asked quietly. Of course Daniel had secretly longed to find someone to call more than a friend, but she didn;t let it get in the way of her life. She always had to tell herself friends were enough and she was to busy for anyone.
